THE FINAL OF THE INDUSTRY 4.0 STARTUP BATTLE TOOK PLACE AT KIOGE 2024

THE 29TH ANNUAL KIOGE 2024 EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE TOOK PLACE IN ALMATY ON SEPTEMBER 25-27, 2024, AND BECAME THE MAIN EVENT OF KAZAKHSTAN'S OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY. THE EVENT WAS HELD AT THE ATAKENT EXHIBITION AND CONVENTION CENTER, BRINGING TOGETHER 340 COMPANIES FROM 20 COUNTRIES AND PROVIDING PARTICIPANTS WITH A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT ADVANCED TECHNOLOGICAL AND SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS FOR THE OIL AND GAS SECTOR.

KIOGE 2024 attracted the attention of 117 Kazakhstani and 223 international companies, which confirmed its importance as a leading platform for discussing key oil and gas industry issues, strengthening international cooperation and developing new technological solutions.

Gold partners of the event included such major players in the oil and gas industry as KazMunaiGas, Tengizchevroil, QazaqGaz, Shell and NCOC. Silver partners included Caspian Pipeline Consortium, Alstron, HMS, European Metallurgical Company, Ural Steel and LUKOIL, while the bronze partners were Honeywell, Caspian Munai Capital, TKJV LLP and CNPC.

The conference and exhibition were supported by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty City Akimat, NC KazMunayGas JSC, KAZENERGY LLC, PSA LLP, Union of Service Companies of Kazakhstan “KazService”, PETROCOUNCIL and other key organizations of the industry.

The Final of the Industry 4.0 Startup Battle

Within the framework of the conference held at The Ritz-Carlton Almaty hotel, the final of Industry 4.0 Startup Battle was held with the support of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The finals of Industry 4.0 Startup Battle became a highlight of the conference, demonstrating the best innovative solutions for the oil and gas industry. More than 50 startups took part in the competition, of which 11 best projects were selected for the finals. The participants presented their solutions in just three minutes, trying to interest the jury, which included experts from QazaqGaz, Chevron Munaigas and VK Cloud.

The following projects became winners of the contest:

• KAZITECH with a digital queuing system, which received $10,000 from Xfinity Solutions;
• Equipmetry with a cloud-based efficient management system, which received $15,000;
• World of VR with VR simulators for occupational health and fire safety, which received a grant of 10,000,000 tenge for VK Cloud services;
• Smart Gas with FuelSync automatic refueling system, which became a special project of ER10 Media;
• 3GIS with a platform for real-time monitoring of vehicles and operators, which received access to training from Lerna Skillbox.
