KIOGE-2021: NEW REALITIES AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF KAZAKHSTAN'S OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY

KIOGE-2021 is the biggest industry event of the oil and gas sector, and will take place in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, from 5-7 October at the EXPO Exhibition Centre, alongside the KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum, which will be held on 4 and 8 October. Traditionally, the Oil & Gas Exhibition will be attended by major industry players from Kazakhstan and neighboring countries, international industry experts, and government representatives.

Since its existence, KIOGE has become the hallmark of the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan. This is clearly demonstrated by the attendance figures of the exhibition, annually it is about 300 participating companies and more than 4,000 specialized visitors from more than twenty countries of the world.

For Kazakhstan, the oil industry is still a strategically important sector, and considering the turbulent times of the post-pandemic for the Oil & Gas Industry, KIOGE attendees are faced with many pressing questions to define the vectors of further development for the Oil & Gas Sector. With the Department of Energy's 2021-2025 plans, the Oil & Gas business will soon need to return to attractive upstream and downstream performance, which cannot happen without quality and timely transformation, innovative digital solutions, improved local content and a Green Economy Strategy. All of these issues will be addressed as part of the Exhibition's Business Program.

The KIOGE Exhibition will showcase the latest process, engineering and software developments for Oil & Gas production facilities from leading upstream, downstream and oilfield service companies. To date, over 100 companies from 9 countries have confirmed their attendance, which are: Austria, Bahrain, Belarus, Croatia, Germany, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands and Russia.

The Exhibition continues to serve as an effective driver of international business interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan, expansion of business ties, and development of new markets. Proof of this is the annual attendance at the German national stand, and the participation of collective stands from Belarus and Oil & Gas Companies from six regions of Russia: Bashkortostan, Mordovia, Volgograd Region, Penza Region, Samara Region, and Chelyabinsk Region.

In addition, business meetings, presentations and negotiations between market participants will take place during the exhibition. The Business Program will include seminars by Tengizchevroil, NCOC and Saiman Corporation. On October 5, representatives of HMS Neftemash will talk about rodless oil production and dynamic equipment with gas piston drives. Klinkmann Kazakhstan LLP's speakers will share the practical case of implementing a single production control center using ADNOC as an example.
