Strong international presence at KIOGE 2011

Central Asia’s largest oil and gas trade event will host thousands of industry professionals in Almaty, Kazakhstan over four days, for the 19th edition of KIOGE.

Taking place on 5-8 October 2011, KIOGE will feature around 450 exhibitors, 70% of which are international oil and gas companies, a rise of 18% since the previous edition in 2010.
Held at the Atakent Exhibition Centre, the event will host 25 countries, with 6 national stands from Russia, China, Germany, Italy, Canada and France. This year, the Chinese group increased the number of participating companies by 30% compared with 2010. New countries and regions to the exhibition include Latvia, Taiwan and the Russian region of Nizhny Novgorod’.
Major exhibiting companies include KazMunayGas National Company, Tengizchevroil, CNPC, PETRONAS, ArcelorMittal, GE Energy, Emerson, Siemens and Transneft.
Taking place alongside the exhibition is the KIOGE conference, which will launch a new commercially-focused programme on 6-7 October at the InterContinental in Almaty. More than 50 speakers will present on a number of new issues and topics, which have been designed to reflect the industry in Kazakhstan and meet the needs of the 750 delegates expected to attend from around the world.
Supporting the new conference programme are a number of important speakers, including Sauat Mynbayev, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Oil and Gas; Lyazzat Kiinov, Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan; Zhandarbek Kakishev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for the Development of Local Content NADLoC; Uzakbay Karabalin, General Director of the Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas; and David Moran, UK Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The 6th edition of the KIOGE Job Fair will take place in Pavilion 11 of the Atakent Exhibition Centre. Sponsored for a second year by CAMERON, the job fair participants include oil and gas companies such as Karachaganak Petroleum Operating Company, Caspian Meruerti Operating Company, Tekknow and Botenear Petroleum Engineering.
The KIOGE exhibition programme includes seminars hosted by various international oil and gas companies. Registered attendants of the seminars will gain insight into company operations, current and future projects.
KIOGE is organised by ITECA which is part of the ITE Group, and includes its partners in China, Germany, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Spain and Dubai.
