Training Workshop with the support of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) on: Geo-Radiolocation Data Interpretation
The aim of this workshop is inform the attendees about the capabilities of the geo-radiolocation which can be used to address a variety of issues and challenges. This training course consists of three parts. The first one covers major categories of tasks, which can be fulfilled with the use of the geo-radiolocation, and also some recording characteristics such as undesirable waves of different types, vertical and horizontal resolving power, electromagnetic wave velocity assessment, scale distortion, time-to-depth section transformation, and so on.
The second part of the course is dedicated to the interpretation methodology. It touches upon the notions of the GPR complex and georadar facies. The third part of the workshop will be focused on several examples of the geo-radiolocation data received in the course of resolving various engineering and geological issues: searching objects of artificial and natural origin; hydro-geological surveys; performing activities in the permafrost regions; observations within the territory of fresh-water areas; surveys of the auto- and railway beds and airport runways; defining root causes of the railway embankment transformation; various surveys and testing within construction, repair and renovation works.
All key sections of the training course are supported by our own materials based on the acquisition tests and industrial studies as well as by the respective data of the geo-radiolocation observations which have been taken by specialists of other companies and organizations.
