IBIX, INNOVATION IN JOINT FIELD COATING AND ANTICORROSION PROTECTION

Field Joint Coating, Pipe bend and fitting coating applications have always been at the focus of coating and anti-corrosion experts. An extruded system is not however a practical application when we consider these sections of the pipe. IBIX has developed SPARTACUS FLAME SPRAY, a technology that can now give pipe owners the option of spraying application of a highly stable polypropylene powder with properties that are a close match to an extruded system. The process only needs air and LPG (no need for nitrogen and oxygen during application). This new system can be hand sprayed or semi automatically sprayed on to virtually any type or shape of joint or pipe fitting and it is engineered to fuse to the extruded Polypropylene line coating. For the first time ever this gives pipe owners the opportunity to have a high quality homogenous coating overall the length of the pipeline.
