Welcome Letters 2017

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan I would like to welcome and congratulate you on the important anniversary event - the 25th anniversary of the Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference - KIOGE 2017!

In the early 90’s KIOGE became the hallmark of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry. Almost all major foreign companies and consortiums unveiled our market through participating in this international industry event in Almaty. The first companies of independent Kazakhstan at that time gained a unique opportunity to establish business ties with foreign partners without leaving the country and today it is remarkably rewarding to note that many KIOGE participants of the past years have grown into large companies and do business both in Kazakhstan and abroad, boldly competing on the international market.

In addition to the exposition part of the project, which visually reflects the dynamics of the industry in this or that period, on the conference platform historical statements were expressed and long-term memoranda and contracts were often signed. Over 25 years, 18,000 oil and gas industry specialists, including ministers, commercial attaches, heads of national companies and international consortia, representatives of trade unions and associations from more than 30 countries have participated in the conference. Annually KIOGE welcomes 500 companies participating in the exhibition and conference and more than 4,600 specialised visitors.

I would like to highlight that KIOGE is still fulfilling its main mission still to the present day, being a fully-fledged business platform on which the main trends of the oil and gas community are demonstrated. Established companies expand their partner network, start-ups are promoted and open to an array of opportunities for a successful start.

I wish all participants, guests and the organisers of KIOGE a week of interesting discussions and fruitful cooperation. May KIOGE unite us for many more years to come!

Best regards,

Kanat Bozumbayev,
Minister of Energy
of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Dear colleagues! Dear friends!

On behalf of the national company “KazMunaiGas” and on my own behalf I would like to welcome the participants and guests of the 25th Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference - KIOGE 2017!

For more than a quarter of a century the professional meetings within the framework of the most authoritative forum in Central Asia, which have become traditional, have provided a unique opportunity for oil specialists, government officials and scientific organizations from many countries of the world to share their experience and knowledge, seek new forms of cooperation, demonstrate the best achievements and scientific developments.

More than 500 companies, including the giants of the global oil and gas industry, participate annually in the Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference – KIOGE as exhibitors and speakers of the conference.

The level of the forum is growing every year, its business program is characterized by extensive content and relevance of the themes proposed for discussion.

The agenda of this year’s conference is no exception. The proposed issues are acute and topical - the activities of companies in conditions of low oil prices, attracting investments, developing transport infrastructure and oilfield services, increasing the efficiency of production through the introduction of innovative technologies. I am convinced that the results of the discussions will contribute to solving urgent problems, will help formulate concrete steps for the development of these sectors.

The organisers’ have introduced the anniversary forum this year which is devoted to the history of the development of Kazakhstan’s oil industry, as well as the special session titled National Treasure, which will explain all about the honored people who made a significant contribution to the formation and development of the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.

I would like to sincerely congratulate our partners - the exhibition company ITECA on the anniversary of KIOGE and to assure our further support to the successful, time-proven and professional industry event.

I wish all participants and guests of the forum success in realizing their professional ideas, fruitful work and new promising ideas!

Dear colleagues,

First of all, on behalf of the Union of Oilfield Service Companies of Kazakhstan, I would like to congratulate the organisers and participants on the 25th anniversary of the Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference - KIOGE 2017!

We are pleased to provide official support for such a significant event in the oil and gas industry. For a quarter of a century KIOGE has been gathering the main players of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas market, as well as new companies. Many existing suppliers of large operators were introduced to Kazakhstan through participating in the KIOGE Conference and Exhibition. Our own conference KAZNEFTEGAZSERVICE aimed at highlighting the possibilities to participate in the largest oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan, has learned a lot from the organisers - Iteca, they also support us and we are very pleased with our mutually beneficial cooperation.

In the early years of Kazakhstan’s independence, KIOGE was established as a specialised platform for the exchange of experience, solving pressing industry issues and providing the key meeting place for producers, consumers and investors. For this very reason the idea of disclosing the history of Kazakhstan’s oil and the special section “National treasure” came at the right moment. Demonstrating the latest achievements within the industry, intensive exchange of experience, introducing advanced, innovative technologies and establishing cooperation between foreign and domestic companies are the main goals of KIOGE.

I wish all participants of the 25th Kazakhstan International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference - KIOGE 2017 fruitful cooperation and successful implementation of the desired goals.
