BPC Engineering to Install Power Plant in Man Camp of Compressor Station in Kazakhstan

BPC Engineering signed a contract with the largest Chinese construction company in Kazakhstan – Subsidiary of China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation LLP (CPECC LLP). The company is a general subcontractor in the Beyneu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline construction project. Within the framework of the project BPC Engineering will manufacture a 600-kW ENEX 600 power plant running on natural gas for the Bozoy man camp. All equipment will be assembled at the BPC Engineering's factory in the Yaroslavl Region in full accordance with the customer's stringent requirements. BPC's specialists will also perform installation supervision and pre-commissioning at the customer's site.

Main equipment will include a packaged ENEX 600 power plant with service module based on three 200-kW microturbine engines. This solution ensures high reliability and provides high degree of internal redundancy and allows servicing separate engines without stopping the whole plant. Power plants feature extended service intervals, cost-efficiency through low quantity of spare part and consumables, easy maintenance and excellent environmental features. The power plant will be completed with switchgear for accommodating all customer loads including offices, living quarters, two-storey living house, sports complex and other facilities. The switchgear will be mounted in power management module that also accommodates electrical equipment and control cabinets. An integrated 15-kW UPS will supply power to customer's critical loads in case of emergency.

Commissioning of the power plant is scheduled for the end of 2016.
